Plastic injection moulding can be a messy process. Sticking can be a major issue and many companies continue to use release agents despite the messy and time-consuming nature to apply them. Here at East Midland Coatings, we have helped companies completely eradicate the need for any release agents by applying our non-stick technologies. Our finishes provide an easy release surface, whilst maintaining the surface finish of the moulded product. Some of our industrial non-stick coatings are as thin as 20 – 30µm. A well coated mould tool also offers an easy clean surface to reduce any potential downtime and unnecessary elbow grease.

Non Stick Industrial Coatings

Of course, this system is not just limited to plastic materials. We also coat mould tools used in the manufacture of food and various types of rubber (Silicon, EPDM, Butadiene, Nitrile, Neoprene and more). Having coated mould tools for many years, we are experienced in advising which finish would suit specific moulding materials best. We have coating systems that are PTFE, FEP and PFA based to cater for all. Brands such as Xylan, Teflon and Excellube cover any of these requirements.
